These threaded bars or threaded rods are typically manufactured through a process known as thread rolling. In this process, a blank bar or rod is passed through a rotating die. And the desired degree of threads are created on this blank rod. Since this is a cold process, therefore, the threads that are produced on the entire length of the rod possess greater strength, hardness, and offer greater resistance to wear and tear. Thereafter, the desired length is cut. Typically, lengths of 1 meter, 2 meters, 3 meters are sold in the marketplace.
