In an HVAC system, the chiller system supplies chilled water to either Air Handling Units AHUs or Fan Coil Units FCUs. And then through ductwork, the cool air is supplied to all parts of a building. While an AHU is typically a bigger unit, an FCU is a smaller unit that comes in the capacity range of 1 TR to 4 TR. A Fan Coil Unit comprises a fan and a coil (heating or cooling). The FCU unit can be installed with ductwork or without ductwork. In smaller rooms that are typically found in hotels, hospitals, coworking spaces, shops in a mall, an FCU is an ideal choice to supply cool air. The chilled water pipeline of 20 mm is usually connected to the FCU unit. This chilled water passes through the cooling coil and the fan blows air to supply cool air to the room or space under consideration. The FCU Unit can be either switched off/on manually or by a thermostat. An FCU is a very simple yet highly effective unit to supply cool air in the room or space under consideration.
A fan coil unit ranging from 1 TR to 4 TR is typically manufactured by Zeco Aircon. These FCU units come equipped with AHRI certified coil and energy efficient blower. 3 rows or 4 rows coils can be selected.
Edgetech Fan Coil Units come in various configurations. Single skin construction with a capacity of 1 TR to 5 TR. Double skin construction with a capacity of 1 TR to 5 TR. Single skin construction with DC fan with a capacity of 1 TR to 3 TR. 3 fan speeds (low, medium, high) are provided for comfortable operation. Choice of 3 rows or 4 rows coil.
Waves Aircon FCU comes in the capacity of 800 CFM (2 TR) to 10000 CFM (25 TR). There is a choice of single skin construction or double skin construction. The coil can either be 3-row or 4-row. Customized FCU units are also available.
