Acoustic Duct Lining - Nitrile Rubber
Accosound, a product by ALP Aeroflex helps in absorbing the air-borne noise that’s generated in ducts, air handling units, plant rooms, home theaters, etc. It is an elastomeric nitrile rubber having an open cell structure. The complex pore geometry provides effective absorption of noise generated by the movement of air in ducts, air handling units in an HVAC system. The product is available in 1000 mm sheets of thickness 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm.

The goal is to minimize the noise that’s generated by the movement of air inside ducts and air handling units. Acoustic lining for ductwork is made from the nitrile rubber having an open cell structure and high density. And that results in an effective barrier to the transmission of noise. At the same time, the elastic properties of the nitrile rubber dampen the structure-borne transmission of noise. The acoustic duct liner installation process involves cutting the sheets of the required shape and size and then pasting them on the metal surface of the duct or air handling unit by using the adhesive.
- Highest grade of noise absorption
- Fire safety of class 1
- Easy installation
- Fiber and dust free
- Temperature range of -20 to 85 degrees C
In an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) system, high pressure air is distributed from air handling units via the duct lines. And that results in noise. This noise is then absorbed using the acoustic duct lining.
